FOUR GIFTS Advent collection: where is your help going in 2026?

We thank everyone who has chosen to support the FOUR GIFTS Advent collection and to join the people who believe that solidarity has real power. Your support means a great deal — above all to children, their families, pupils, single mothers and others to whom we, together, bring hope and concrete help. Thanks to you, we can continue our mission, stand with people at risk of poverty, conflict or lack of opportunity, and bring help where it is most needed. In 2026, these resources will allow us to support several important projects at our mission sites:

In 2026, these resources will allow us to support several important projects:

1. Supporting the Salesian school in Marsabit (Kenya)

We will help pupils from poor and pastoralist communities to gain the practical skills and quality education that open the door to a better future. Thanks to your help, we can support the running of the Salesian school bakery, which secures the sustainable operation of the vocational training school and enables pupils from poor families to continue their studies. Without this help, they would not be able to continue and would have to drop out. The Salesian school bakery helps the local vocational school operate more sustainably and independently, and to take in students whose families cannot pay the school fees.

2. Supporting thirty vulnerable women – mothers in Tonj (South Sudan)

Thanks to an agricultural project, we will help thirty mothers stand on their own feet, secure a livelihood for their families and gain dignity and economic independence. In this region of South Sudan, peanuts are commonly grown, but they are sold mostly in raw form. By processing them into peanut butter, the women can earn more, improve their family’s nutrition and secure a more stable income. The project will provide them with training, simple equipment and help in finding buyers, so that they can keep up the production even after the support ends.

3. Humanitarian aid in crisis situations

Your gifts will allow us to respond flexibly wherever people need immediate help — after conflicts, natural disasters or in life-threatening situations. Thanks to your contributions, we can react at once and help where people cannot help themselves.

4. Equipping the Salesian school in Huambo (Angola)

We will support the completion and equipping of a new Salesian school, which is due to open its doors in September 2026 to 640 poor children. Thanks in part to you, it will be able to start operating from day one.
